MTT Shipping Lists on Bursa, Raises $650 Million to Acquire 12 New Vessels
MTT Shipping and Logistics Bhd has successfully listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia. Through its Initial Public Offering (IPO), the company raised approximately $165 million. According to DynaLiners, this listing values the Malaysian domestic shipping operator at roughly $658 million.

The company officially entered the capital markets at the end of April 2026, marking a significant milestone for the local shipping enterprise. At the time of listing, MTT Shipping operated a fleet of 17 vessels, specializing in domestic and coastal trade within Malaysia.
The company plans to allocate the majority of the IPO proceeds towards fleet expansion, with intentions to acquire at least 12 new ships. Furthermore, a portion of the funds will be used to expand container yard capacity at three of Malaysia's key ports—Port Klang, Kuching Port, and Bintulu Port. This strategy clearly demonstrates the company's ambition to strengthen its integrated logistics footprint while expanding its maritime shipping business.
