Global ship management giant V.Group has appointed Shubpreet Singh as the new CEO of V.Ships.

V.Group is one of the world’s largest ship management companies. Through V.Ships, it manages 600 vessels, including tankers, bulk carriers and LNG carriers. According to its website, V.Group has more than 44,000 seafarers and 3,000 shore-based employees in about 30 countries and regions worldwide.

Shubpreet Singh is an experienced captain who joined V.Group in 2022. He most recently oversaw ship management operations for the UK, US and French offices, and also worked closely with V.Ships’ senior management to formulate and implement the company’s long-term strategy. He began his career at P&O and has more than 35 years of experience in the shipping, oil and LNG industries. In addition, he has been involved in and managed newbuilding and secondhand ship sale and purchase (S&P) brokerage. Since 2015, he has held senior leadership positions at third-party ship management companies.

V.Group said that V.Ships’ current CEO, Robert Desai, is leaving after five years with V.Group.
