According to the official WeChat account of Guangzhou Shipyard International (GSI), on August 26, the third vessel of the 74,500 DWT chemical/oil products tanker series built by GSI for Norway's Ocean Yield — the BLISSFUL FUTURE — was named and delivered, 217 days ahead of the contractual deadline.

A total of four vessels are planned in this series, representing a new generation of single-fuel LR1 tankers developed by GSI in accordance with the shipowner's requirements. The vessel has an overall length of 228 meters, a molded breadth of 36 meters, and a structural draught of 13.5 meters, with a service speed of 14.0 knots. The vessel's emission standards comply with IMO Tier III requirements, and its Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI) meets Phase III limit values. Featuring low energy consumption, high speed, lightweight construction, and strong adaptability, the vessel's energy efficiency, environmental performance, and reliability are all at world-leading levels. The vessel has been designed with space reserved for future dual-fuel conversion and has been awarded the RINA GreenStar 3 green class notation. It is a new-generation flagship LR1 design independently developed by GSI.

GSI stated that this series of vessels marks the shipyard's first order breakthrough in the Latin American market. GSI will continue to uphold its mission of "building premium vessels and serving global customers," winning market trust through higher-quality products and superior services, partnering with more collaborators to achieve mutual benefit, and jointly writing a new chapter in the high-quality development of the shipbuilding industry.
