Former SeaLead executives strike out on their own and enter the Red Sea market
According to shipping analysis firm Linerlytica, a new container shipping company headquartered in Singapore has entered the liner shipping market and launched a service connecting India, Pakistan and Egypt’s Red Sea coast. The company is led by several former executives of SeaLead, including former SeaLead Chief Commercial Officer Doreen Yeo.

Jade Pacific Line (JPL), established in April this year, has deployed the 1,100-TEU “Medkon Sia,” operating with a port rotation of Mundra – Nhava Sheva – Karachi – Sokhna – Mundra.
According to Linerlytica, the service was launched on September 25 and uses a rolling 30- to 35-day schedule rather than a fixed weekly service. The arrangement directly connects India’s two major container gateway ports, Pakistan’s main port and Egypt’s Sokhna port; Sokhna serves the Suez Canal corridor and Egypt’s hinterland.
According to DynaLiners, JPL is backed by Chinese interests associated with OVP Shipping and Ocean Silk Line.
CNSS previously reported that SeaLead formally applied for voluntary liquidation in July this year (with the company’s shareholders or directors deciding to dissolve the company) and subsequently ceased trading.
