Transaction records show that Norwegian chemical tanker owner Odfjell has sold two 2011-built chemical tankers for more than $62 million as it continues to renew its fleet.

Specifically, transaction records show that the "Bow Elm" (46,098 dwt, built 2011) and the "Bow Lind" (46,047 dwt, built 2011) have been sold as a package. So far, the buyer's identity has not been disclosed, and Odfjell has not publicly confirmed the transaction or disclosed the final price.

In fact, Odfjell has been carrying out an extensive fleet renewal program in recent years. In April this year, Odfjell agreed to acquire four 40,000-dwt stainless steel chemical tankers from a Japanese shipowner in a transaction valued at about $290 million. The series is being built at Kitanihon Shipbuilding and is scheduled for delivery between 2027 and 2029.

In addition, Odfjell is also renewing its fleet through long-term charters and the disposal of older ships. Its broader plan includes more than 20 newbuildings, including owned and chartered vessels.
